“F3 CRAzy Captioning–Whimsical Moments in RA Characters”, 3/15/12 Gratiana Lovelace (Post #150c)

We are in Day Four of the FanstRAvaganza 3 in THE FREEFORM tagteam chain!   If you missed Day Three, please check out the posts at A is for Armitage (http://aisforarmitage.com/ ), Funky Blue Dandelion (http://funkybluedandelion.blogspot.com/ ), and I want to be a Pin-Up (http://iwanttobeapinup.wordpress.com/ ).

***

For those of you who have visited my blog “Something About Love (A)” (www.gratianads90.wordpress.com ) before, you know that in addition to my storytelling,  essays, and poems, I enjoy a bit of frivolity and fun now and again–on what I have dubbed “Fun Day Sunday”–with some interactive posts involving RA related games, trivia contests, Mad Libs, and CRAzy Captioning, etc.  So, my first two posts for F3 this week are CRAzy Captioning posts.

For the uninitiated, CRAzy Captioning involves me selecting pictures of the exquisitely talented British Actor Richard Armitage in his roles, photo shoots, or interviews and then providing an alternative context humorous caption for them.   I also invite you to suggest captions as well.   This is all in good fun and with the utmost respect for Mr. Armitage as an artist and person–because he is also a very nice fellow and a gentleman.

So today I will provide you with two collages of pictures of Richard Armitage related to the theme “Whimsical Moments in RA Characters”–parts 1 and 2.   I will suggest some captions.  And then I invite you to suggest captions as well.

All images in the two collages below are courtesy of RANet (www.RichardArmitageNet.com).

Note:   If you click on the collage image, it will open a new window so that you may save it to your computer to view it larger.  Should you wish to share this post with others, please provide them with the URL to this page so that they also have the image credits and my caption suggestions.  Thanks!

I hope that you found my suggested captions amusing.  So now it is your turn to suggest captions for one or more of the Richard Armitage pictures above.   Be sure to indicate which character and pose that you’re referring to.  Thanks for playing!

Cheers!   Grati  ;->      (Gratiana Lovelace)

P.S.   And as I have said before, Richard Armitage is male beauty personified–both inside and out.  Mr. Armitage is unfailingly polite and gentlemanly, a consummate professional as an artist and  filmmaker, and he compassionately supports charitable causes.  Please see the Just Giving Link here (http://www.justgiving.com/Richard-Armitage ) or in the sidebar at right under  “Actor/Richard Armitage:  Official/Semi Official Sites” should you feel moved to make a donation to one of Mr. Armitage’s chosen charities.   And as to Mr. Armitage’s handsomeness?   Sighhhh!  Well, Michaelangelo’s David sculpture has nothing on Mr. Armitage.   Ha!     Richard Armitage is  a nice guy.  And much to his disavowal, he does have a “nice guy face”–especially when he smiles.

However, it is Richard Armitage’s exquisitely talented storytelling and filmmaking that I most admire.  Seeing the juxtaposition of Richard Armitage  in real life compared to his many and varied dramatic character portrayals in his reel life, just makes his storytelling artistry that much more brilliant.   Mr. Armitage is a gifted chameleon of an actor who authentically portrays his characters with such depth and attention to multi-faceted nuances that we, his audience, become immersed in his story telling.

About Gratiana Lovelace

Gratiana Lovelace is my nom de plume for my creative writing and blogging. I write romantic stories in different sub genres. The stories just tumble out of me. My resurgence in creative writing occurred when I viewed the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North & South in February 2010. The exquisitely talented British actor portraying the male lead John Thornton in North & South--Richard Crispin Armitage--became my unofficial muse. I have written over 50 script stories about love--some are fan fiction, but most are original stories--that I am just beginning to share with others on private writer sites, and here on my blog. And as you know, my blog here is also relatively new--since August 2011. But, I'm having fun and I hope you enjoy reading my blog essays and my stories. Cheers! Grati ;-> upd 12/18/11

    Hey Grati,

    Your captions are hilarious! You’ve given me a much-needed case of the giggles at the end of my work day. Nothing like a handsome stress reliever with witty captions.

    • Hi Tereza,
      Thanks for your kind note about my CRAzy Captions. I have fun making them up.
      And I do like that Lucas thumb licking pose because it seems to natural. Your finger has chocolate icing on it from the donut, you lick it off. I wonder how many takes it took to get it just right? Ha!
      And of course, I’m thinking about what other yummy gooey foods we might feed Richard Armitage to produce more thumb licking on his part. Ha! I’ve got an orange juice bundt cake I make that is quite yummy.

      Thanks for your kind note. I know what you mean about being brain fried. I only just now had some soup for dinner. I’m on the F3 diet–blogging instead of dinner. Ha!
      Shall I serve you a tall, dark, and stormy for that drink and we can brainstorm some ideas? Ha!.

    • Hi Nat,
      Thanks for your nice note. And I love your narration! Yes, we women have to makeover our men. They really need “garanimals”* for adults. Don’t they? Ha!
      Cheers! Grati ;->

      *Garanimals = A children’s clothing line years ago at the Sears departments stores. The blouse tags and pants/skirt tags had codes so that you could match up outfits that would go well together. Giggles. Did they not think the parents could figure it out? Ha!

      I almost made a sheep caption for Standring, then I veered the other way. Ha! Good one on the licking Lucas pix, by bringing in RA’s own food preference.

      And actually, the final picture (G) is the “sympathy shag” Danni in Strike Back. With sympathy like that, Porter would have women lined up for his condolences. Ha!

    OK, so it was Danni. Anyone notice any difference?? :D

    • Ha Fitzg!
      I take your meaning–woman love interest inserted into the plot for RA’s character to have a manufactured romance to pull in a different market share. That applies to Danni, Maya, and Sarah. Ha!

  17. fitzg says:

    Maybe not Sarah? She had a story…? What is this thing about featureless female doctors that RA characters have??? :D

    Like

    • Hi Fitzg,
      Well, Sarah’s story was so so. Ha! “Featureless female doctors”? You mean their back story? I have to agree with you there. Although Maya’s back story was provided a bit. Her coming out of the blue–with no angst on Lucas’ part before about his lost love Maya because the writers only thought her up for S9–was a bit jarring to say the least.

      And I haven’t seen RA in Golden Hour, so there were probably medical professional love interests there. Ha!
      Cheers! Grati ;->
