Dear Friends,
It is perhaps a little ironic that over a week ago I featured a quote by the talented British actor Richard Armitage whom we all admire so much, when I reorganized my blog’s sidebar and made the “Just Giving” links to Richard Armitage’s chosen charities more prominent. It is the closing quote from Richard Armitage’s Holiday 2011 Letter to his Fans (as shared on on RAOnline):
“Peace and goodwill (and I really mean that, be willingly good, extra good, extra peaceful and extra forgiving) RA”
And you know that I’m the “Something About Love” lady–believing that love is a gift that we work at daily. Love isn’t easy, it is hard work. Take it from a lady who has been happily married for nearly 23 years and happily coupled for 24 years:
Love is in the every day kindnesses that we show each other.
Love is in the respect we show each other for our differences and love is in the celebration of our shared interests.
Love is in our supporting each other no matter what–we have each others’ backs.
Love is in the gentle way that we speak with each other, even if we have to bite our tongues sometimes.
Love is in our deep and abiding friendship that transcends everything else.
Why? Because we bring so much joy and laughter to each other, that life is all the sweeter for it and for each other in it.
So to close, I’m sharing with you the link to a poignant post by Snicker’s Mom’s on her blog “(R)Ailment” on Monday July 16, 2012 that I and several of us feel speaks to the heart of our community of unofficial Richard Armitage fans at this time:

P.S. And may I add, that just because someone else has a less than loving attitude, don’t let it ruin your attitude. I think the sentiments in the following song work for you, me, RA, and everybody.

Well-written, Gratiana. With all the suffering and difficulties in our world, it is love and forgiveness that we need. I have never and never will see beautiful and helpful outcomes from negativity and being unloving. What we get from toxic attitudes are destruction of precious moments that we will never get back.
One thing I ask everyone who is withholding or unwilling to love is: As you go through each day, how do you want to remember them? Do you want to remember them as times that you were unhappy and unloving?

Hi Brooke,
I agree with you. There are individuals in this world who are struggling to survive. It therefore behooves the rest of us to put things in perspective and make a positive difference in the world whenever and wherever we can.

I needed this to read this too, Fabi. Grati’s words are so true and a great reminder to what is important in our lives. She had mentioned things that can easily be forgotten. She spoke so softly and just.
