“41st Birthday Greetings to Richard Crispin Armitage at the Start of KRA 2012 (poem)”, 8/22/12 Gratiana Lovelace (Post #255)

Dear Richard,

It is my humble task, to offer you initial greetings on this your 41st Birthday,
On behalf of your many fans—and especially, the bloggers of 2012 KRA.

The KRA initiative is comprised of fans supporting your goal of producing a film about Richard the Third.
That you hope will redefine his history—jettisoning forever the image of him being an evil nerd.

And who better to bring accuracy and honor to the history of King Richard the Third than yourself?
For you are soon to be seen as Thorin, a king among men in “The Hobbit” films—well, as a Dwarf, not an Elf.

It is said that you were named Richard after KR 3, since your 1971 August 22 date of birth,
Was the 486th anniversary of King Richard III’s 1485 death with valor at the Battle of Bosworth.

KR3 was only 33 years at the time of his death from a grievous head wound caused by a poleaxe.
A Welshman claimed the deed, with Henry Tudor the 7th taking the crown and changing the KR3 facts.

So we fans look forward with gleeful anticipation your revising of King Richard the third’s historical tale.
You are an exquisitely masterful and talented actor and storyteller, whom we hope will prevail.

We KRA 2012 lady RA bloggers devotedly wish you the most joyous of 41st birthdays this year.
Joining with your world wide fans and their celebrations for you, our hearts are most true and sincere.

Very Cheesily Yours, Melissa the Mouse
(via my scribe, Gratiana Lovelace)

About Gratiana Lovelace

Gratiana Lovelace is my nom de plume for my creative writing and blogging. I write romantic stories in different sub genres. The stories just tumble out of me. My resurgence in creative writing occurred when I viewed the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North & South in February 2010. The exquisitely talented British actor portraying the male lead John Thornton in North & South--Richard Crispin Armitage--became my unofficial muse. I have written over 50 script stories about love--some are fan fiction, but most are original stories--that I am just beginning to share with others on private writer sites, and here on my blog. And as you know, my blog here is also relatively new--since August 2011. But, I'm having fun and I hope you enjoy reading my blog essays and my stories. Cheers! Grati ;-> upd 12/18/11

  2. Dear Readers,

    It’s not too late for you to send birthday greetings to Richard Armitage.

    RANet will still accept birthday wishes 20 hours London time on August 22 at http://www.richardarmitagenet.com/birthday12.html

    Here is their exact wording on the time: ” The Birthday message page will close for new messages at 20:00 UK time tomorrow. Thank you for all your birthday wishes! An email has been sent to Richard’s agent to notify him.”

    Cheers! Grati ;->

  3. Dear Readers,

    I plan to make a donation to one of Richard Armitage’s chosen charities on the Just Giving link (to the right in the sidebar) in honor of Mr. Armitage’s birthday. You can, too.

    And if you need to wait until pay day–like me–I’m sure that’s fine. A donation of any size is always welcomed by these and other charities, because when all of us put our “little” donations together they become big donations and they really make an impact in helping others.

    Thanks to RANet and others for initially providing those links.

    Cheers! Grati ;->

    As part of KRA 2012 Week. Here is the excerpt of Serv’s post about it:

    “King Richard Armitage week begins today and runs through August 28th. See the welcome post, with a description of what’s to come, at Something About Love! Includes poem by Melissa the Mouse.

    and CDoart has a cake for Richard Armitage as well as some information about previous attempts to locate the currently unknown resting place of Richard III’s mortal remains. As you may know, a new attempt has recently been funded, in part by fans of Richard Armitage. Additionally, CDoart offers details about how you can support a current effort to bring attention to the Richard III story on television — to take place this Friday and Saturday.

    ***

    As you can see from Grati’s post, a small group of us have banded together to celebrate 2012′s King Richard Armitage Week in honor of the King Richard Armitage fan initiative. The goal of the initiative is to draw attention and express public support for Richard Armitage’s ongoing interest, expressed over the last five years, of pursuing some sort of project regarding the complexities of the life and reign of English king Richard III (d. 1485), either as actor, director, or producer. A petition — please sign if you haven’t! — collects the names of people who’d love to see Armitage’s project realized.

    But what about the part where fans spend our money?????
    Keep reading!”

        I’ve just one regret : that my blog is in French, because if it’s ok to write a few word in English, it’s more difficult for me to write an entire post in English.

        But fortunately, Google translator exist, so I can understand almost everything of the blogs in English. ;-)
