The Hiddlespeare Tumbler has such an amazing sequence of “Thorin Oakenshield’s Heroic Raging Attack upon at Azog the Defiler” gifs that I just had to reblog it here for you today.
Here is the starter gif of “Thorin Oakenshield’s Heroic Raging Attack upon Azog the Defiler” by Hiddlespeare:
This gif is just the tip of the iceberg. Run, don’t walk to the link below to Hiddlespeare’s post that has the whole beginning of the sequence beautifully captured in a series of multiple gifs:
In addition to the visual clarity, the enhanced color balance and lighting in the gifs–different from what I saw in the THAUJ film–is breathtaking!
Richard Armitage portraying Thorin Oakenshield “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” convincingly conveyed rage, revenge, heroism in hoping to save his comrades, honor, and courage as he raced alone to fight Azog in what he could only surmise would be certain death for himself. Indeed, Thorin would have been killed–beheaded like his grandfather King Thror–were it not for Bilbo, the other Dwarves, and Gandalf’s eagles coming to his aid. The noble exiled King Thorin–who had sacrificed everything to keep his people together and give them a new life–was rewarded with the loyalty of his comrades who saved his life in return.
Enjoy the gifs!
P.S. A huge thank you to Sandra G. whose Tumblr reblog of these gifs pointed me to Hiddlespeare’s original post of them. Here is Sandra’s Sudden Waves tumblr post link reblogging Hiddlespeare’s post:
