The King Richard Armitage initiative spearheaded by Christine Doart (brava! And I love her banner graphic above!), has as its focus supporting British actor Richard Armitage’s goal of bringing a new film about King Richard the Third to the screen. RA’s hope is to “correct” the historical record and to reclaim the honor of a noble king who died too young–King Richard III was only 33 when he fell on Bosworth field, August 22, 1485.
Not only was British actor Richard Armitage born on August 22 (in 1971), but his Dad was such a fan of KR3, that he named his son after the king. And thus sprouted a lifelong affinity by RA for his namesake.
This year’s King Richard Armitage Week 2013 runs from August 21 to 28. You can visit the KRA 2013 main page to see links to articles that various bloggers are doing. For example, I will write a KRA 2013 related post on Sunday, August 25th. And my wallpaper I created and share below is a quick peek:
