Fun Day Sunday: OpeRAtion “Into the Storm” 2014 Web Site Launches for RA Fans Planning Film Viewing Gatherings, June 8, 2014 Gratiana Lovelace (Post #579)

“Fans of the exquisitely talented British Actor Richard Crispin Armitage–aka Richard zzzPost#1--RichardArmitage_pix6_FaveBritArtistof2013Jun0714ranet-and-TheAnglophileChannel-sizedArmitage, or simply RA [(1) right] — have made friends around the world in our blogging, tweeting, chatting, vidding, fan ficcing, graphic arting, and such.  And, we like meeting up with each other to view and to support RA’s artistic projects almost as we would enjoy (or have enjoyed, for some of you) meeting the man himself, Richard Armitage.  Almost. Ha!

So as the dates of the world wide release of RA’s latest film project “Into the Storm” yInto-the-Storm-US-Movie-Poster-FakeTicketMay1814ITS-WB_wCredits-manip-smlrapproach, several of us RA Fans have been talking about gathering together to view the film its opening weekend to support Richard Armitage and his film.   Opening weekend ticket sales can make or break a film’s subsequent success.   With the reasoning being that the more people who see a film–and the bigger the box office sales–this encourages others to give a film a chance and see the film, thus increasing overall box office sales and a film’s ranking of success based on ticket sales.

About Gratiana Lovelace

Gratiana Lovelace is my nom de plume for my creative writing and blogging. I write romantic stories in different sub genres. The stories just tumble out of me. My resurgence in creative writing occurred when I viewed the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North & South in February 2010. The exquisitely talented British actor portraying the male lead John Thornton in North & South--Richard Crispin Armitage--became my unofficial muse. I have written over 50 script stories about love--some are fan fiction, but most are original stories--that I am just beginning to share with others on private writer sites, and here on my blog. And as you know, my blog here is also relatively new--since August 2011. But, I'm having fun and I hope you enjoy reading my blog essays and my stories. Cheers! Grati ;-> upd 12/18/11

    We will be doing a NYC Film Viewing as well. More details to come!! Thanks, Grati, for all your hard work! putting this together!

    • Hi Marie Astra!
      Thanks for your kind note, info, and reblog!

      I’ll be emailing you–and the others who had indicated they hoped to plan an event in their area–in the coming weeks, about seeking your NYC film viewing initial details to put up on the OpeRAtion Into the Storm 2014 website. Building individual event page templates on the web site is my goal over the next two weeks.

      Today, I also created a twitter account: @opintothestorm2014 And I followed some of my fellow RA Fan Twitter friends in the hope that they will follow the new account back. So if you have new news that you’re tweeting about your NYC planning, please be sure to include the site handle as noted above. Thanks!

      And I will also create a Facebook event page, etc., soon. I was just tuckered out with the new web site set up and settling on a “theme” (design format)–I played around with three different ones yesterday. Ha! And I forgot how laborious setting up a new web site can be with getting all of the settings right, such as the timezone. Ha! For example, WP has the default timezone set to GMT–7 hours ahead of me. So when I was trying to “schedule” the post on the new website, it wanted to publish it–because it was the next day already for GMT time. Even after I fixed the timezone issue, it wouldn’t let me schedule–since in effect, it had already published it (even though I reverted it to draft mode). So I had to wait up until midnight to do publish the first post on the new site manually. So my tip to bloggers is, set your settings/timezone the first thing you do. Ha! It should be fine to schedule weekly posts from now on.

      Cheers! Grati ;->
