Sentimental Sunday: Richard Armitage & Colleagues Begin Their Final Week of Amazing Performances of The Crucible at The Old Vic, September 7, 2014 Gratiana Lovelace (Post#632)

Night after night, the exquisitely talented British actor Richard Armitage gives a 150% performance as John Proctor in The Crucible at The Old Vic Theatre in London–probably leaving him emotionally and physically exhausted. Yet, each night–with extremely rare exceptions for when he must leave on a plane for another professional commitment–he graciously meets his fans at the Stage Door. Richard Armitage is a true storyteller–and that rare combination of a gentleman, a professional, and an artist.

And Richard Armitage remarked in a Saturday tweet, that the final week of the planned performances of  The Crucible is upon them:

Wishing Richard Armitage, and his cast & creatives colleagues all the best as they give their final 8 performances of The Crucible this week.

P.S. I was not able to experience this amazing production in person due to cost constraints. But I delightedly look forward to viewing the now planned video and cinema release of filmed performances of The Crucible, per The Old Vic Theatre (Grati’s cap below).  For more information and to get on the email list for the video release, please visit http://www.digitaltheatre.com/

About Gratiana Lovelace

Gratiana Lovelace is my nom de plume for my creative writing and blogging. I write romantic stories in different sub genres. The stories just tumble out of me. My resurgence in creative writing occurred when I viewed the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North & South in February 2010. The exquisitely talented British actor portraying the male lead John Thornton in North & South--Richard Crispin Armitage--became my unofficial muse. I have written over 50 script stories about love--some are fan fiction, but most are original stories--that I am just beginning to share with others on private writer sites, and here on my blog. And as you know, my blog here is also relatively new--since August 2011. But, I'm having fun and I hope you enjoy reading my blog essays and my stories. Cheers! Grati ;-> upd 12/18/11
