Hi everyone,
One of my shrine fairies has asked me to bring attention to a gift idea for Richard. Here it comes:
A few members of the page ‘Richard’s Rascals – The Armitage Effect’ have come up with an idea for a secret Christmas present for Richard Armitage, and we’d like to invite all to be part of it.

Richard has said in interviews that he’d rather his well-wishers give to charity rather than buy him gifts. So, for those fans who would like to participate, we’d love them to join us from Friday November 28th (9pm UK time) and send a flurry of donations to Richard’s chosen charities through Just Giving.
We would then love for people to post a message on Twitter (for those who have an account).
As well as supporting some wonderful organisations, it will also be a way to spread goodwill around the internet, and show our respect and admiration of Richard en masse in a way that we think will be very meaningful.
As fans we love to celebrate him, and what better way than by giving him what he wants – to help those less fortunate. …”

P.S. From Grati: Even if you have recently given to one of Richard’s Charities, you may still help “count” that toward this overall goodwill campaign. The organizers aren’t interested in amounts–and ask people not to give them. The purpose is just to share and to show goodwill as an expression of our admiration for the exquisitely talented British actor and kind gentlemanly man, Richard Crispin Armitage (right, courtesy of RANet).

Thanks for your note. And thanks for the timely remainder. After doing some laundry and dishes, I am now sitting down to my breakfast–and back to voting again as planned. Ha!
Ladies, we only have 1- 2 more hours (1 hr if until 11am EST) to turn the tide in Richard’s favor. Let’s get voting again!

However, there will be a faceoff between Colin Morgan and Richard Armitage for the “bronze” medal. BBC said it would be up later today.

I knew that you were relaying the idea–hence my maintaining your quote indents. But I didn’t see a link to an “RA Rascals” post about it in your post. I then checked The Armitage Effect blog, but I didn’t see any recent posts there about it. Is the initial post perhaps on Facebook? Or on someone else’s blog? If you have that original idea post link, I will gladly share it in my post above.

The initial post is on a Facebook group. I do not use Facebook and the link I initially was given did not allow me to see what the group had said. There was a post on tumblr that I copied the text from.
