RAndom thought. Have you ever pondered how integral kissing is to romance? And I’m not just talking about … you know.
A kiss is such an intimately tender act, to press one’s lips with another’s lips–petal soft, then nibbling, then … etc. Sighhh! And with a kiss, you share touch and breath and taste and tingles. When done right, kisses are definitely gateways to loving tenderness.
What brought these kissing thoughts to my mind? Perhaps a puckering up Richard Armitage as Sir Guy of Gisborne (below)?
Nota Bene: And Ladies, be sure to remember that if you zoom in on the picture to make Sir Guy’s lips appear life size, be sure to use clear lip gloss. Lipstick is so difficult to clean off of computer LCD screens. *Kkhhh!* I’m just guessing.
No, the exquisitely talented British actor Richard Armitage who portrayed Sir Guy of Gisborne in the 2006-2009 Robin Hood series on BBC One and who is puckering up in the picture above has not inspired my essay. More’s the pity. Ha!
Actually, my dear sweet hubby had emergency root canal surgery Tuesday for an abscessed tooth. Poor guy–little g. And his mouth is out of commission for kissing for a few days. He’s even eating softer foods to avoid having to do much chewing. So no puckering up.
And somehow, my not being able to kiss him–my hubby, not Richard Armitage as Sir Guy–seems to make me want to kiss him all the more. Sighhh! You can’t know how much my lips are feeling bereft right now. But my love for him will not permit me test his pain limits. So I will bide my time and bite my lips.
All I can say is, when his lips start working again, he better watch out! Kissing will commence! Again, I’m talking about my hubby, not Richard. *wink*
In the meantime, I will have to content myself with more Richard Armitage as Sir Guy tender and romantic kissing moments below:
1) The tender caress approach–slow, gentle, & respectful :
2) Embracing with romantic intent– direct, lustful, & in private to avoid interruptions:
3) Kissing in loving abandon–lips, arms, & our bodies united as one: (*fanning self*)
Hope you have a gReAt THUD Thursday! Tempered Cheers from *a mopey faced, non puckered up Grati*
P.S. As always, my thanks to www.RichardArmitageNet.com for their wonderful picture gallery and other resources!
Aw, poor hubby and poor you! I hope he feels better soon! Looks like you have found yourself a nice little project to while the time away – studying Richard’s kisses and maybe finding some inspiration for real life? After all, you need to be ready for a plan of attack on hubby as soon as the time is right…

Ah, lady! I kiss his picture (Richard’s) on my phone every night before I go to sleep. Makes me sleep better.
As for hubs, he & I haven’t kissed or even held hands in years.
So, when yours is able, kiss him & kiss him often.

Hi LadyGrayse, Thanks for your nice note! What a a lovely use of cell phone technology–kissing RA’s pix goodnight–and cell phones have protective film coverings already on them.Snap!
And as to keeping intimacy alive with my hubby? Every day with him is precious and we always let each other know how we feel about each other. Texting is great with little xxxooo’s attached to messages between each other. And even though my hubby’s lips are out of commission for the short term, we still hold hands as we sleep. I love cuddling with the man/my hubby, but he is his own furnace with his body temp being so hot. But it cuts down on winter heating bills. Ha!
Thanks for visiting and commenting! Cheers! Grati ;->
