WCW–An edgy choppy haired Richard Armitage selfie cheers me, June 15, 2016 Gratiana Lovelace (Post #924)

I have been in an Erebor Mountain sized agony of back and hip pain for several days with no relief in sight–from two falls at home I had the past four months that have steadily become more painful–the doctors did tests and gave me meds, but so far nothing helps.  An MRI is next.

So this youthful looking Richard Armitage selfie today–black leather, choppy hair, wayward beard, and such–does cheer me.  Thanks, Dude!

P.S. And RA corrected later that the Stop Cyberbullying Day is Friday, June 17th.

P.S.  Richard seems to have deleted his tweet.  Wish Twitter had an edit button to fix typos and date references.  Ha!  Maybe he’ll repost, but I had saved the tweet image and posted it for you above and just the selfie below.

About Gratiana Lovelace

Gratiana Lovelace is my nom de plume for my creative writing and blogging. I write romantic stories in different sub genres. The stories just tumble out of me. My resurgence in creative writing occurred when I viewed the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North & South in February 2010. The exquisitely talented British actor portraying the male lead John Thornton in North & South--Richard Crispin Armitage--became my unofficial muse. I have written over 50 script stories about love--some are fan fiction, but most are original stories--that I am just beginning to share with others on private writer sites, and here on my blog. And as you know, my blog here is also relatively new--since August 2011. But, I'm having fun and I hope you enjoy reading my blog essays and my stories. Cheers! Grati ;-> upd 12/18/11

    • Hi jholland, He does. Love it! And he looks younger, too with that choppy hair. Ha! And his thinner face and neck–and probably body, too–seem like a slightly buffer Lucas 7.0. Purrrr! He’ll be able to pull off any younger character image flashback scenes quite handily. He could pass for 33 here.

Sorry to hear that you aren’t feeling any better. I hope things get resolved sooner rather than later. Best advice I can give is don’t pin all your hopes on one thing to solve the pain. I started this pain quest 3 years ago now (after 40 years of surviving I wanted to live again.) The results have been demoralising, the operations soul destroying, the pain an ever present companion. I wish you all the luck I haven’t had and it’s okay if sometimes you have to put the brakes on and say, not today. Please let me know how you get on. All the very, very best. Hugs (gentle ones obvs), Evie xxxx

    • Dear Evie, Thank you for your kind note. I’m sorry that your health and pain is rotten as well–not the sisterhood I would want to share with anyone. But I appreciate your sharing your thoughts with me.

I am trying many things and have asked/pushed the doctors to try a stronger med, since the first one didn’t help–which my hubby will pick up for me–and see if the pain specialist can see me sooner. He’s an anesthesiologist by training, So I’m hoping that he has some good ideas/solutions. Fingers crossed.

Hope that your doctors can also help your situation. Hugs! Grati ;->

Yeah, great selfie! Glad the Army saved copies of it. :)
Sorry to hear you’re feeling so bad with no end in sight. Hope the MRI gives some answers.

    • Hi Esther,
Thanks for your kind note and well wishes. Anymore these days, we have to be quick to get the tweet if we’re interested in it–especially if RA shares a new selfie! But I’m on the side of it’s his choice to tweet or “untweet”. Ha! I just wish Twitter would provide an edit button–that would certain help me with typos. I am forever typing “Armtiage”. Ha!

I’ll find out my MRI results tomorrow. My new special pain specialist referred from the ortho surgeon, is working me in over his lunch hour since I’m in so much pain–not making me wait until next Wednesday. Bless him! He’s going to get good reviews from me already on those physician rating sites.
      Thanks & Cheers! Grati ;->

P.S. And I broke down and bought a footed cane to help stabilize my walking. It is sleek black and adjustable. Because I’m so short–5 ft 2in tall–I have it set on the next to lowest height setting. I’m a lilliputian. Ha! But I am finding the cane a great help in walking right now. Better to swallow my pride and use a cane, than risk falling again.

      • Esther says:

You really are tiny – my 12 year old daughter is taller than you are. ;)
You know, canes can look very distinguished! Just think Fred Astaire when you’re walking…:) Hang in there, I really hope you’ll get some answers soon and that targeted treatment will then help.
As for the tweeting – yes, I wouldn’t mind an edit button either! I have posted tweets and then taken them down again because of typos right away, but then I repost them again in a corrected version. Yeah, it’s the man’s choice to do as he pleases with his Twitter account and I really don’t get worked up over it. However, I sometimes do wish he’d make up his mind on what he wants to use his Twitter account for…
