You know how when you have a favorite piece of jewelry? And it becomes your go to accessory item? But then after a while, you feel like a change–as I did with my Something About Love (SAL) blog header today.
Though I’ve only tweaked it this weekend—adding in Daniel, and changing out the Proctor image, etc.—my upgraded photo editor software allowed me to enhance the color on the background image (bluer sky, greener foliage) and I balanced the mantel images (including sizing them up a bit), which was sorely needed (below: new header on top, old header at bottom). Though I might come up with more of a dramatic blog header change in a few weeks. We’ll see.
You see, somehow, when I changed to my new desktop computer in January, I could only find my photo editor in a much older version 3 to load onto it. So I have been limping along—graphically speaking. And now, I that have recently bought the photo editor in version 14—quite a leap!–I’m playing around with it. Maybe I should phrase that software version in Roman numerals: XIV, like the Superbowl. Ha!
Anyway, today, I’m also going to play around with jewelry making—in addition to some Richard Armitage inspired story writing, in the historical fiction genre. I can’t find the kind of jewelry I want—so much in the stores or online is fringed, and with multiple strands, or miss matched charms. And I’m afraid that the fringes and charms will dangle in my soup, while the multi-strand necklace styles would completely hide my already short neck—making my head look like its floating. Ha! So, I’m going to putter around and make some necklaces. If I come up with anything interesting, I’ll share it in a future post.
In the meantime, I hope that you have a gReAt weekend! Cheers! Grati ;->
