Want to blend wishing the exquisitely talented British actor Richard Armitage a fabulous 45th birthday with a charity auction fundraiser? Then visit Guylty Pleasure’s blog page to find out more. And thanks to TeresaA for pointing me to her link!
Below is a snippet of Guylty’s RA bday charity auction post (image, right):
“The weekend has begun, the last three days to “The Big 45” have started. If you have been following me through my own private Armitage Week celebrations, you may remember that I hinted at a charity auction to celebrate Richard’s birthday. Well, now we are off! Here comes the official announcement with all the necessary details:
After the success of the earlier auctions, I have decided to try and raise some funds for Save the Children again – and spread some fun and love in the fandom. I have been aided and motivated in my attempts by an unnamed, generous supporter who sent me a number of fan items earlier this year, suggesting I put them up for auction and donate the proceeds. I had also gathered a number of items on my own impetus, which I wanted to auction for charity, and I am now combining the two for a fundraiser. …”

Thank you for taking the time to write a whole post, Grati! That is really nice of you. Here’s some little update for you as an extra ;-) : As I said, providing shelter for a family costs 250$. And guess what? The bids so far already add up to more than 550$! So we can already sponsor 2 shelters. Isn’t that great???

Hi Guylty, Thanks for the update about how far donation dollars stretch! That’s great!
I haven’t had a chance to visit your site yet–I’m working at my office this morning on revised course schedules for Monday–but do you also have the buttons on ebay? That way, even if we didn’t win the auction on one of the bigger RA prizes, we could still donate.
Thanks and Cheers! Grati ;)

Oh, donation button? I think that only works when you use “eBay for Charity”, which I didn’t.

No a button that you wear to recognize other ra fans. I was thinking that you made them.

*hehehehe* oh, I completely got that wrong *hahahaha* Thinking far too technically… Yes, I made those badges. Do you have one/do you want one? I send them off free of charge. (Although it is a fabulous idea to put them up for auction…)

That’s so nice of you!. Do you have a link to share for a post where you might have shared pictures of your various RA Fan badges choices? I knew that I had a favorite of the three or four phrases I had seen at various times, but it is escaping my brain at the moment. Ha!
And I will gladly make a bid on my favorite RA Fan badge to help the fundraiser along. With our having to buy a new clothes washer, and both outside and then inside AC and furnace motors this past month, our “coffers” are dry for any humongous bids on the charity auction. But anything in the $25 range is okay. Cheers!

Here is a link to my recent post on the badges: https://guylty.wordpress.com/2016/07/26/going-to-lovelovelove-put-a-badge-on-it/ The illustrating photo on the post shows all three badges. I think I have 7 badges left at this stage, not sure how many of each kind. I am happy to send you one – and if you would like to donate something in return, that will go into a donation pot that I started for the badges. If so, we can hash out the details via e-mail: guylty@photographer.net

And here are two more Guylty posts about her RA Fan badges:

I’m leaning toward seeking the “entranced” badge.
