Newborn babies are just at the beginning of their lives. And the future and possibilities are endless as to the journey that new little person will take through life, and the impact that they will have on the world around them. [image MS Office Clip Art]
And birthdays each year are thus a reminder of that newness and hope that we retain within us—reminding us that the future is still before us. And though we honor the past, we also celebrate what is to come.
Today is one of those very happy birthdays–the 45th, actually—for the exquisitely talented British actor Richard Crispin Armitage (right, in a recent selfie from Richard Armitage’s Twitter site).
And though he has worked or studied in some form or other of theatrical performance since he was 17 years old, some 28 years ago–theatre, television, films, audiobooks, documentary narration, other vocal performance, and a circus, etc.—the last 14 years, since 2002, have seen his storytelling/performing artistry catching the interest of and inspiring the imaginations for thousands and now millions of fans and admirers world wide.
Richard Armitage’s busy theatrical performance career has him crisscrossing the globe—and ever more so this past year. And yet, the charming and yes nice guy Richard Armitage also finds time to be socially conscious and he advocates for and supports several charitable causes—see his Just Giving pages linked here (image below, my cap)—with many of these charities involving aiding children and families.
Richard Armitage is also my story writing/telling muse—and the lead actor in all of my stories–and the catalyst for me making so many wonderful Richard Armitage fan friends over the years. So I thank him most sincerely for his gifts of storytelling, advocacy, and philanthropy that he shares with us.
Richard Armitage’s future is bright and I, like many of you, look forward to his upcoming performances this year and beyond.
And for his 45th birthday and always, I wish for Richard Armitage every happiness that he wishes for himself. Hugs & Love, Grati
P.S. And to myself and my fellow Richard Armitage admirers? Keep Calm! Not! *wink*
Hi Grati, very impressive I really like what you have done to honour Richard you’ve done him proud, I hope that your health is improving. I have been troubled by the flu end of winter and all that left me with little energy. I decided I would enter the realm of RA on his birthday. Are you planning any more books in the future if so when can we expect the 1st instalment. Take Care Wendy

Hi Wendy,
Thanks so my for your very kind note about my RA birthday post today! I’m glad that you enjoyed it! Sorry that I couldn’t reply until now, but I was at my office this morning–and now I’m at home on my lunch break.
And I’m hanging in there healthwise, and I hope that you are on the mend, too!
Good for you to venture into the delightfulness of Richard’s birthday day! Twitter was already agog yesterday with many wonderful graphics and “cards” for him! And “virtual” well wishes and gifts are the best–because they don’t require dusting! Ha!
Thank you for asking about my next story that I will serialize her on my blog and on my Wattpad site. I have several dozens of my stories that are in the middle or nearing completion that are “vying” to have me serialize them next. I am always also working on writing other stories in the background. And I haven’t serialized a “long ago” period/historical story lately, so I am leaning toward sharing one of them. I love the rigid societal expectations of the regency and earlier periods–but then with my putting a slightly modern spin on them, sometimes to humorous effect. *wink* So I’ll start serializing a new story of mine “soon”–within a week or two.
Thanks and Cheers! Grati ;->

August 22, 2016–I just made a modest donation to Childline on Richard Armitage’s Just Giving site, in honor of his birthday.
P.S. We have had major appliance repairs and replacements the last month, so that has eaten up any disposable dollars we might have. But even our small donation–when paired with other donations –helps the charity. So don’t ever think that your donation gift is too small. And even if you just aren’t able to donate, then your good thoughts and well wishes to Richard are just fine, too. Hugs & Love! Grati.
