Thanks so much to Zan at her Well, There You Go blog for sharing a link she found to a site which provides 3D views of the interior of the Laura Pels Theatre in NYC where the exquisitely talented British actor Richard Armitage’s new play Love Love Love , produced by the Roundabout Theatre Company, will open there on September 22 for previews! And thanks to Chrissyinwm for previously tweeting the image below!
And also my thanks to Perry for her reblog of Zan’s post on her Armitage Agonistes blog site that pointed me to the wonderful 3D view link! These days—well for over a year now, ha!—I haven’t been checking my Grati email, because it is overrun with Twitter notifications. *grins sheepishly* So I simply flit around to various blogs I follow–whose URL’s are on autofill in my search bar by now. Ha!
It took me a few minutes to get the hang of the 3D viewer. There are area acronyms to the right of that screen (OR, LL, etc.)–and rather than merely clicking the directional arrows, you can use “control + click on screen” to really move around the theatre. Below are some of the screen shots that I made of the interior of the Laura Pels Theatre, via the 3D viewer:
It looks to be an intimate theatre with mono-directional seating and performance. This is a view from the stage:
And that Mezzanine level hangs quite far forward (above row 7 in the orchestra/lower level!).
Another view of the Mezzanine balcony’s ample seating:
So if you are lucky enough to attend a Love Love Love performance, you are sure to have a great view from the orchestra section or the Mezzanine balcony (as seen below).
The 3D viewer also lets you peek backstage to bar and reception areas. So have fun playing around with it. Cheers!

August 27, 2016–ooh! And for an extra Richard Armitage experience, David Hewson who wrote a boot adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet that Richard is harrating, is raffling off five free copies of the audio book. But there is a catch, each Saturday, Mr. Hewson will post story and plot questions to be answered–and you send in your answers after Nov. 26.
