My comment on Richard’s lovely Facebook post thanked him for the updates and his thoughtfulness to his fans.  As one who sent him something once years ago—from my Melissa the Mouse character who has been dormant for a while, along with a note in her rhyming verse—I also mentioned that his family probably gets a giggle out of some of the more goofy things he receives.  I also think that it’s wonderful that he doesn’t farm out the task of sorting through his fan mail to a paid staff, but rather his family handles it—it keeps it personal, as he says above.

And I truly appreciate that he passes along the gifts to those in need—either the item itself or if it is a nicer homemade gift like a quilt or something, to charity for auction.  That means that our gifts keep on giving.  Hugs!

P.S.  My eyes are getting a bit wonky/blurry on Sunday Oct. 2nd afternoon with eyestrain as I was trying to write/edit the next story chapter 8 of my original historical fiction Regency romance “Encouragement”.  So I need to rest my eyes tonight/Sunday—by listening again to Richard Armitage’s audiobook reading of Georgette Heyer’s story “Sylvester”—a tale of how writing a story drawing upon characters in real life can get you into trouble.  Ha!  So the above post is my sharing for Monday.   I hope to have the next story chapter 8 finished and up on Wednesday.  Thanks for understanding.  Cheers!   Grati  ;->

About Gratiana Lovelace

Gratiana Lovelace is my nom de plume for my creative writing and blogging. I write romantic stories in different sub genres. The stories just tumble out of me. My resurgence in creative writing occurred when I viewed the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North & South in February 2010. The exquisitely talented British actor portraying the male lead John Thornton in North & South--Richard Crispin Armitage--became my unofficial muse. I have written over 50 script stories about love--some are fan fiction, but most are original stories--that I am just beginning to share with others on private writer sites, and here on my blog. And as you know, my blog here is also relatively new--since August 2011. But, I'm having fun and I hope you enjoy reading my blog essays and my stories. Cheers! Grati ;-> upd 12/18/11
