Berlin Station season 2 is in production with Richard Armitage et al, March 30, 2017 Gratiana Lovelace (Post #1052)

From recent tweet pictures, it looks like Berlin Station season 2 is in production in Berlin–with the exquisitely talented British actor Richard Armitage back to anchor the show (I hope he’ll be in all of the episodes, cause that’s why I’m watching it):

Left to right below in cast read through:  Keke Palmer (new), Leland Orser, Richard Armitage, and others

Far left below:  Mina Tander and Richard Armitage looking cozy at a Berlin Station dinner

We know that Keke Palmer (below) is new to the Station as a “young case officer” April Lewis, and thanks to her for sharing the read through pix.

And Ashley Judd (below top) will also join the cast as stated by her tweet and confirmed by Berlin Station’s tweet (below bottom); according to Variety, her character name will be BB Yates, the new Station Chief:

And Tamlyn Tomita who portrayed Sandra Abe has indicated that she won’t be back.  So I wonder about who will be back from the other main cast from last season:

Rhys Ifans who was revealed as the mole leak Thomas Shaw in season 1:  Will he go on the run as Berlin Station has yet other looming crises to resolve?  Or will he just fade away to grieve over Claire?

Richard Jenkins and Caroline Goodall:  As the former Station Chief and his wife, will they retire to provence, or some cushy prison nearby?

And what of Daniel Miller’s and Esther Krug’s romance?  Will it sizzle up again now that she is heading up the German spy network in Berlin?  What’s a little pillow talk between spies?  Or is there competition brewing for Daniel’s attention and bedding?  With Ms. Judd’s character addition, perhaps?  That would be a cat fight of epic proportions.  Ha!

But I really wonder what over arching plot arc are we going to see in season 2?  Berlin Station as a “character” in the show has to repair its image and reputation amongst its various nation spies.  So what better way to do that than to uncover, prevent, resolve, etc., international incidents.  What those international incidents might be is anyone’s guess.

So, onward, upward, and looking forward to Berlin Station 2!

P.S.  Thanks to the following for also sharing the images above:  Moose Turds, Ashley Judd, Keke Palmer, Berlin Station, and TeresaA and others that slip my brain at the moment.

About Gratiana Lovelace

Gratiana Lovelace is my nom de plume for my creative writing and blogging. I write romantic stories in different sub genres. The stories just tumble out of me. My resurgence in creative writing occurred when I viewed the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North & South in February 2010. The exquisitely talented British actor portraying the male lead John Thornton in North & South--Richard Crispin Armitage--became my unofficial muse. I have written over 50 script stories about love--some are fan fiction, but most are original stories--that I am just beginning to share with others on private writer sites, and here on my blog. And as you know, my blog here is also relatively new--since August 2011. But, I'm having fun and I hope you enjoy reading my blog essays and my stories. Cheers! Grati ;-> upd 12/18/11
