If you have the privilege of voting in the U.S., please exercise it today. It has been a hard won right.
And be an informed voter, know the positions, opinions, record, and experience of whom you’re voting for.
And finally, if you’re like me, you’ll vote for the good of all, not just for oneself. A society is judged by how well it treats the most vulnerable of its members–the young, the elderly, those needing health insurance and a self supporting job, and those seeking safety from tyranny, injustice, and danger.
The United States was founded upon these principles of personal freedoms and collective benefit–not for the few, but for the many. Let us honor this legacy and our own immigrant ancestors by preserving and extending our legacy of welcoming people who wish to share in this hope for a better life and a better world.

I will most definitely be voting today. And I’m taking my 18-year-old son with me so he can vote for the very first time.
