Sensational Sunday! New #UncleVanya poster with 4 & 5 star ratings, etc. March 01, 2020 Gratiana Lovelace (Post #1285)

I’m playing catch up with my Richard Armitage and Uncle Vanya play news and images.  So Enjoy!

A) London’s Uncle Vanya play starring the talented British actors Richard Armitage, Toby Jones, Ciaran Hinds, Rosalind Eleazar, Aimee Lou Woods, etc., is getting rave reviews!!! Below is a newish Uncle Vanya play poster touting their 4 and 5 star reviews!!! Thanks to Valentina Ancilotti for the poster!! <3

And below are two other sets of Uncle Vanya play images and play experiences shared recently by Richard Armitage fans:

B) Thanks to PaulaJo83 for these stunning Richard Armitage as Dr. Astrov in Uncle Vanya images! And of course, I had to put in my two cents to @DigitalTheatre with an appeal for them to film the Uncle Vanya production. A person can dream.  Sighhh!

And my reaction when I saw these images again and posted by TeresaA (Thanks!) in FB were:

1) I’m gobsmacked by that first image of Richard Armitage as Dr. Astrov as if he is pleading or frustrated! Sighhh!

2)  And the second image of Richard Armitage as Dr. Astrov striding manfully while pointing accusingly is breathtaking in his uncoiled fury.

3)  Let alone, the 3rd image of Richard Armitage as Dr. Astrov scowling and bleakly alone, is starkly poignant. Sighhh!

C) And finally, thanks to Esther of the Book of Esther blog for sharing her experiences at the Stage Door for the Uncle Vanya production in London—with lots of pix: Part 1 and Part 2! Though first, she tantalizingly shared a great UV cast curtain call pix that she snapped:

And Esther also kindly shared pix of her tour of London’s V&A Museum—which she said is a precursor to her sharing her Uncle Vanya play experiences.  So be on the lookout on her Book of Esther blog for Esther to share her impressions of experiencing Richard Armitage and his castmates in the Uncle Vanya play soon.

***UPDATE***  March 15, 2020–Esther kindly shared her followup UV play post link  “about the play and fangirling Armitage”: https://bookesther.wordpress.com/2020/03/06/fangirling-armitage-at-the-theatre/

Wishing everyone a lovely day!

About Gratiana Lovelace

Gratiana Lovelace is my nom de plume for my creative writing and blogging. I write romantic stories in different sub genres. The stories just tumble out of me. My resurgence in creative writing occurred when I viewed the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North & South in February 2010. The exquisitely talented British actor portraying the male lead John Thornton in North & South--Richard Crispin Armitage--became my unofficial muse. I have written over 50 script stories about love--some are fan fiction, but most are original stories--that I am just beginning to share with others on private writer sites, and here on my blog. And as you know, my blog here is also relatively new--since August 2011. But, I'm having fun and I hope you enjoy reading my blog essays and my stories. Cheers! Grati ;-> upd 12/18/11
