Updating my Something About Love blog header for 2020 or so, August 30, 2020 Gratiana Lovelace (Post #1321)

Well, I did it!  I updated my Something About Love (SAL) blog header for 2020, or so–since I often like to use the same blog header images for a year or two.  Though I might tweak it a bit more yet–this is draft 5, with a lighter blue text color to improve readability.  I have to let my new SAL blog header simmer for awhile.  Ha!

FYI on how I create the images above and elsewhere on my blog and for my stories.   I love the artistic filters in Powerpoint–where I layout the images I’m creating, often coming up with different version until I decide on one that I like best.

And the teal blue textured background above was actually a golden fire image,  that I had used previously as a background for Thorin image, that I changed to bluish tones and then massaged in the artistic filters for its new texture.  Then I build the layered final image I’m creating in Photoshop Elements.  Ta dah!

And apart from my choosing this soothing teal blue background–I also tweaked the tagline text wording a bit–to reflect that I have been blogging since 2011.

And my choices of using my slightly brightened edit (to see those blue eyes of his) of the talented British actor Richard Armitage‘s wonderfully evocative portrait at left by An Le–and then a powerful Uncle Vanya play still shot at right of Richard Armitage in character as Dr. Astrov by Johan Persson– reflect my nod to Richard Armitage’s more current artistic endeavors.

Though I am also a great fan of Richard Armitage’s past artistic endeavors, especially the period era dramas, fantasy worlds, and contemporary era action/spy thriller/romances, etc.–not the least of which is because he is such a wonderful storyteller/actor.  And he continues to serve as my story and essay writing muse.

So I hope that you enjoy my new SAL blog header!

And I’m wishing you a safe, healthy, and happy day!  Hugs & Cheers!  Grati  ;->

About Gratiana Lovelace

Gratiana Lovelace is my nom de plume for my creative writing and blogging. I write romantic stories in different sub genres. The stories just tumble out of me. My resurgence in creative writing occurred when I viewed the BBC miniseries of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel North & South in February 2010. The exquisitely talented British actor portraying the male lead John Thornton in North & South--Richard Crispin Armitage--became my unofficial muse. I have written over 50 script stories about love--some are fan fiction, but most are original stories--that I am just beginning to share with others on private writer sites, and here on my blog. And as you know, my blog here is also relatively new--since August 2011. But, I'm having fun and I hope you enjoy reading my blog essays and my stories. Cheers! Grati ;-> upd 12/18/11
