The upcoming 2023 four episode Netflix British series “Obsession” looks to be quite smouldering, sizzling, sexy, and steamy (see pix below, Grati edit)!
The multi-talented British actor Richard Armitage (above right) portrays a soon to be father-in-law who enters into a romantic relationship with his son’s soon to be wife, (portrayed by Charlie Murphy, above left). A forbidden romantic relationship, times ten.
Family gatherings can be so awkward, you know—the stilted pauses in conversations with new family member plus one people you meet, being expected to agreeably partake of your host’s unfamiliar food offerings, copious alcohol consumption, and unexpectedly ending up in the bathroom with your fiance’s handsome and virile father for more than merely powdering your nose on the marble countertops.
And the complicated relationships and betrayals that are at the heart of this drama are certain to be dramatically riveting! I can’t wait to see “Obsession”!
Thanks to TeresaA for sharing RCA’s tweet link of the article & pix feature about “Obsession”!
Wishing everyone a safe, healthy, & peaceful day! Hugs & Love! Grati ;->
P.S. FYI, it looks like Netflix changed the project’s name from “Damage” to “Obsession”.

Is this the Alan Ladd and Sophia Loren film you referenced in your comment below? I couldn’t find it in a Google search. Only more recent films of that name turned up. So please share if you have a link to the 1953 version. I’m interested in learning more about it. Cheers!

It’s “Boy on a Dolphin” 1957. There is a remastered version on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAR4M1EJCFs.
It’s available on DVD from Amazon (listed as much cheaper from the USA than the UK, but I don’t know about any additional import taxes,)

Ah ha! I vaguely remembering watching “Boy on a Dolphin” on a classic movie channel years ago. Thanks, sarahdejerseybishop!

LOL! Remember that “Obsession” is for television, so there might be some allusions to … what you describe above. *wink* Besides, leaving some things to the vivid imagination of the audience is definitely sizzling! Cheers!

I’m down with the “allusions”. As long as it doesn’t turn out like a scene in “Between the Sheets “…that would totally knock the socks off everyone 🥰🇨🇦❤❤

Oh yeah I forgot, standing sexual arousal- wonder how they work it, because Charlie is 5’4″ and Richard is 6’2″ ???? Almost a foot to stoop to a kiss?????🥰🇨🇦❤

I think either she has very high heels, or is standing on a box – which I gather is what Alan Ladd used to have to do, to appear to be of average height. He was 5′ 6″ – Sophia Loren at 5′ 7.5″ was made to walk in a trench once when appearing opposite him, but it seems unlikely that Richard is doing that an indoor scene?

Possibly! And isn’t that great that both shorter men and taller women stars of yesteryear still had careers–with a few optical illusions going on? Cheers!
P.S. And Google just now indicated that Ms. Loren was a statuesquely elegant 5′ 9 inches tall! Good for her!

In such cases, the taller person/gentleman may sit down. And as I always say, everyone is the same height lying down. Cheers!
