As anyone who peruses blogs and web sites and Facebook pages devoted to the British actor Richard Armitage knows, there is a community of faithful fans who are admiring of his artistic projects. I feel privileged to have met and become friends with many wonderful ladies around the globe in the last eight months as we swap stories about our first introductions to RA’s character portrayals, we share favorite RA character and portrait pictures and videos about RA characters and stories, and we swoon when the next set of heart stopping RA pictures or RA audio–or both!–are released. Can you say Project Magazine photoshoot portraits of Richard Armitage [(1) right)]? *Swoon* *Thud!* Or, how about RA singing the Misty Mountain Cold song on The Hobbit Movie Announcement Trailer? Sighhhhhh!
And if we didn’t think it could get any bettah? It just did! Because for one week–March 12-18, 2012–Richard Armitage fans and admirers from around the globe will join together in a momentous FANtastical event called:
FanstRAvaganza 3!
See some of the amazing FanstRAvaganza 3 logo versions at left and below and at right made by bccmee [(2)].
That’s right! FanstRAvaganza 3 will bring together about eight core/anchor bloggers (listed in the side bar at right under FanstRAvaganza 3)–An RA viewer’s perspective from 33o00 of the equator, bccmee’s Richard Armitage Vids & Graphics, CDoart, Confessions of a Watcher, Me + Richard Armitage, RAFrenzy, Richard Armitage Fan Blog, and The Squeee–creating RA fun posts daily during that week focusing on a few common themes–with dozens of other “tag team” bloggers shooting off from them and creating their own RA themed posts as well that week. Bloggers will publicize and have links to each other for other RA fans’ convenience. I am thrilled to say that I will be one of the tag team bloggers for FanstRAvaganza 3!
The goal is to have an RA community wide event that will give fans one stop shopping for Richard Armitage related essays and activities. And, it will allow all of us to learn more about each other–perhaps finding that gem of a blog that we had not visited yet.
To help facilitate and coordinate the week long FantRAvaganza 3 event, kudos go to the FanstRAvaganza 3 Planning Committee. For more about FanstRAvaganza 3, please visit one of the anchor/core blogs at

Thanks to Bccmee for her wonderful FanstRAvaganza 3 graphics. Here is a link to her blog at http://fanvideos.wordpress.com/ I know six logo examples may seem a bit much for me to include here, but Bccmee made such beautiful FanstRAvaganza 3 logos for a variety of RA character portrayals that it is hard for me to choose just one (Grati pouts cutely).
I have no blog, but I will read with pleasure the posts for the 3rd FanstRAvaganza on the blog mentioned above.
Thanks you and all the great bloggers ! :-)

Hi April,
Thanks for your nice note. And though you may not have a blog of your own, your guest essay on “bccmee’s Richard Armitage Vids & Graphics” blog yesterday was lovely!

Good morning Fabi,
I’m really looking forward to FanstRAvaganza 3–not the least of which is that I didn’t start even visiting others’ blogs until after it last year. So I am such a newby to participating in RA fandom. But I’m having such fun!
Thanks for your kind words about my blog. I hope my posts will be enjoyable. Humor is always my standby. Ha! And of course, there might be a heartfelt post in there if what I plan to propose for one of my posts gets accepted by the F3 planning committee.
Thanks, best wishes, and Cheers! Grati ;->

Hi Jules,
Thanks for your nice note. I know what you mean–waiting for December and “The Hobbit” premiere is exquisite anticipation. But, we ladies always seem to find a way to amuse and entertain ourselves. When there isn’t news about RA, we revisit a favorite role of his and write an essay, create a graphic, write a poem, or make a video. Ha!
That last one is my biggest goal for this year–making a moving clips RA fan video. I just have to learn how to convert the file type and I am go for lift off–since I already know how to edit clips and such in Windows Moviemaker. Wish me luck!
Thanks for visiting and commenting. I really appreciate it and your support.
Cheers! Grati ;->

Gratia, I knew you would be part of the fun! So good! Jules, funny, when most of us have already seen what has been produced on TV of the career, it was thought it would be a long drought. Instead, I think we have made our own entertainment, based on the diverse body of work, and turning both critical and humourous eyes on it. That alone, must be a tribute to the actor – AND a tribute to the bloggers, artists, etc. who kind of – like him. :)

Hi Fitzg,
I concur. Besides, doesn’t the best entertainment spring from imagination? I’m looking forward to have more fun than I can shake a rhyming couplet at with FanstRAvaganza 3. Ha!
Cheers! Grati ;->

A rhyming couplet?? You aren’t just riffing? We get a rhyming couplet – yes?? Please, in 72 verses (joking, Vicar of Dibley humour.)

Hi Fitzg,
One of the ideas I’m ruminating about for one of my FanstRAvaganza 3 posts would be another “short” poem parody–perhaps by Melissa the Mouse. We’ll see.
Cheers! Grati ;->

Hi Grati!
Great news, A rhyming couplet by Melissa the Mouse? Yay! I can’t wait!

Hi Joanna,
Yes, I’m going to propose a Melissa the Mouse RA themed poem post for F3–perhaps a parody. Melissa is a mice girl who always eeks in verse. Ha!
So, we’ll see if that idea gets approved by the F3 Planning Committee–they’re trying to coordinate posts with similar themes.
Thanks for visiting and commenting.
Cheers! Grati ;->
