When you have been married or partnered as long as we have—28.2 years in love together from when we first met, 26.67 years in marriage—you have your together interests and your individual interests.
Our together interests include, but are not limited to (*wink*): each of us holding similar and mutually supporting life views and social justice philosophies; having a fondness for humorously quoting movie or other literary lines at apropos moments, or just plain cracking each other up; and lunch dates on his day off and on weekends each week that shall not be interfered with. He is so sweet!
And our individual interests are many, a few of which are:
1) my hubby enjoys fixing up bicycles, whereas I enjoy reading and writing stories, mostly involving the exquisitely talented British actor Richard Armitage;
2) my hubby is fond of You Tube for anything from symphonic music to how to rebuild a bicycle’s bottom bracket, whereas I enjoy watching Richard Armitage interview and music videos and funny videos on You Tube, movies, etc.; and.
3) my hubby enjoys riding his bike, whereas I enjoy watching Richard Armitage ride his bike (in a lovely collage below by the RichardArmitageBlog on Twitter). Although, my hubby in spandex bicycling wear is also quite nice, indeed. Snap!
And OMG! It hit me this weekend!!! The potential to create another intersection of our (meaning my hubby and I) interests again when we (meaning myself and fellow RA Fans) were treated to a behind the scenes Richard Armitage interview video about his riding his motorized Freygeist bicycle in his upcoming tv show Berlin Station:

Berlin Station
(on Saturday, September 2)
FREYGEIST lightweight e-Bikes – just one of the many cool pieces from Berlin Station.Richard Armitage gives you an inside look in this exclusive behind the scenes video!
My hubby finally has the payoff for being cajoled–in February 2010 when I discovered Richard Armitage–into watching (by default during commercials) my multiple replays of the BBC’s 2004 mini series North & South Train Station Love Scene (in a fan vid below, sighhhh!) on our then used television (we stream on our computers now).
That actor fella whom I so admire now rides a bike on screen, too. Snap! And with Richard Armitage’s new spy thriller tv show Berlin Station coming up this Fall, I sense that we (my hubby and I) will establish a new togetherness activity–of watching Berlin Station each week. Sighhh! Life is sweet!
P.S. And oh yeah, here is the You Tube version of the Berlin Station video interview and demonstration of Richard Armitage on a bike for Berlin Station, for my hubby (*wink*):
