Thanks to Richard Armitage <3 for sharing this The Guardian interview link in his tweet below about his new Netflix mini-series "Obsession". In it, they clarify that their focus is on a modern version of the morality tale genre–showing the "damage" that infidelity and betrayal can do to a family and to individuals:
" “I don’t think we’re ever going to get to a point of consensus around it,” says Lloyd Malcolm. “What I hope we’ve done is show a relationship that is, in essence, destructive, but that’s not related to the kind of sex they’re having.” "
